Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari released the  Marathi edition of the English language  book ‘Exam Warriors’ authored by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi at the  Raj Bhavan in Mumbai today.

 

 In the audience were principals, staff and students of various schools including Anjuman-e-Islam, Balmohan Vidyamandir, Campion School, Guardian School,  St Mary’s ICSE and G D Somani School as well as the Minister of School Education and Marathi Language,  Deepak Kesarkar, and Principal Secretary, School Education, Government of Maharashtra, Ranjit Singh Deol.

 

RN Ravi, Governor of Tamil Nadu released the Tamil version  at the Chennai Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. Students were given copies of the book at the Chennai and Mumbai functions. 

 

The original English language edition is compiled from the PM’s 2015, 2016 and 2017 ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programmes  addressing students appearing for the board examinations, and also their parents and teachers. 

 

First published in 2018, a revised updated paperback was brought out by Penguin in 2021.The translations have been published by the National Book Trust. The PM has acknowledged inputs from students, parents and teachers prior to the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program and letters sent to him after the examination season were useful in  writing the book.

 

The titular ‘Exam Warriors’ are lauded as “brave  youngsters taking part in the festival of exams” and advised not “to  worry excessively or view it as a life-and-death situation.”

 

The book contains activities that are fun and thought-provoking. A series of asanas and breathing exercises are also included in the book which has been  integrated  with the Narendra Modi Mobile App. 

 

Addressing the audience at the Mumbai Raj Bhavan, Governor Koshiyari urged students to be “fearless and face  examinations with preparedness. ” Referencing  Prime Minister  Modi, the Governor asked the gathering to explore and understand ‘Incredible India’. He urged students to visit the forts of Shivneri, Raigad and Sinhagad as also the modern monuments like the ‘Statue of Unity’ and draw inspiration from the lives of great national leaders.

 

The Governor also advised the School Education Minister Kesarkar to arrange to make available copies of ‘Exam Warriors’ in the libraries of all schools across the State.
