Overview

Promoted in 2009, Blue Blocks, Gachibowli is a pre-school “committed to fostering holistic development of children by introducing them to academic concepts and social skills, to prepare them for school.” All Blue Blocks teachers are trained in the Montessori system of education. The founder of Blue Blocks, Pavan Goyal is certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI, Netherlands) to promote Montessori schools and work with children between birth and 6 years. Moreover Blue Blocks offers the first ever Montessori Toddler Classroom in India. The school also conducts Positive Parenting Workshops for parents who have children below 6 years on every Saturday between 11am to 1 pm at its premises in Gachibowli.

Campus

The school provides a unique infrastructure with octagonal shaped environments which according to a school spokesperson gives the child an inbuilt sense of security and openness. Blue Blocks also offers specially designed child friendly stair cases and child size furniture.

Academics

Blue Blocks offers the following programs: Toddler Environment for age group 1-2 ½ years (Play Group) This program focuses on Brain development. Movement development. Language development and practical life skills for helping child manage self and environment. Support development of concentration, work attitude and will power Food preparation activities - banana slicing, sandwich making etc Art activities - scribbling, gluing etc to support creative development Toilet training Self-Interpretive Environment - Age group 2 ½ to 5 1/2 years (Nursery, PP1, PP2) The self-interpretive environment caters to the following 5 areas of development: Sensorial: Learning materials help children develop all his 9 senses. Language - Spoken, written and reading levels. Mathematical - offered in 6 groups, ranging from the concept of numeration to fractions. Cultural – Introduction to botany, zoology, geography, geometry, music and art. Exercises of Practical Life: Develops co-ordination, and concentration skills.

General Information

Admission

Admissions are open through the year. The admission procedure includes attending the positive parenting workshop held every Saturday at school premise followed by submission of application forms which can be downloaded from the school website or collected at the school premises. This is followed by attending two meetings with the management.
