Dr. C.V. Raman University (CVRU) has announced admissions for the academic year commencing in 2021 for its undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and diploma programmes in online mode.

Bihar’s Vaishali district based CVRU has taken all the necessary steps to boost the infrastructure needed to facilitate a smooth and efficient virtual admission process. Virtual campus tours on the university’s YouTube channel and live chat sessions with counselors have helped the students to clarify all doubts. Students can submit the application form and deposit their fees online through registered websites and portals. The varsity will also arrange career counseling sessions for prospective students along with online classes on soft skills and personality development.

Besides admission processes, the university has also taken various measures to aid the entire exchange of knowledge to be held virtually. Besides that, an online library with over 65,000 e-learning resources has been made available to strengthen the process of self-learning. Online assignments, question banks and quizzes have also been made accessible for students. Online placement drives, career development webinars and personality development sessions are also being arranged for graduating students.

Speaking on the occasion, Santosh Kumar Choubey, visitor, CVRU, said, “The way Covid cases are surging again, we are not sure whether we will be able to return to physical classes anytime soon.  Hence, we have strengthened our online admission system to ensure that the admission process and academic schedule does not suffer. The university aims to facilitate the process of skill enhancement, thus creating an immediate impact at the local level.”

CVRU offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses across six faculties that include Engineering & Technology, Commerce & Management, Arts & Humanities, Science, Computer Science & IT, Agriculture and Yoga. PhD in selected subjects is available through separate entrance tests.

CVRU Bihar also focuses highly on fostering a research-based ecosystem and it has established two strong areas for meaningful research – Renewable Energy & Material Science and Chemistry & Earth Science. The university has signed five MoUs with international universities for research and education besides collaboration with several national laboratories.
