Here’s an activity that you can do as a family and enjoy the spirit of giving.
On special days, like birthdays, anniversaries or festival days, make some home-cooked food packets.
The whole family can be involved in the cook out. The fare could be sandwiches or lemon, coconut or tomato flavoured rice. Pack them together with a small hand towel, a toy or sweets box.
Go to a place where you can meet homeless people. Talk to them, give them the food, and try to think of any other way to help them.
Perhaps you could offer them some work like gardening, or help a child, funded by your family, enrol in a school.
If you talk to them for a while, you’ll find that you can do more than provide one meal to them.
