Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management (TSCFM) has launched a new course – Professional Diploma in Investment Banking. Candidates should be maximum of 25 years old and must possess a graduate degree from a reputed institute. The 8.5-month course will commence on 15 January 2023, with classes being offered in hybrid mode. The last date to apply for the course is 10 January 2023.
Discussing the launch of the new course, Dr. Akhil Shahani, MD, Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management, The Shahani Group, ask.CAREERS, and SAGE Foundation, said, “India is the fastest growing large economy in the world. Due to this, there is a flurry of new company IPOs, company mergers and private equity investments. Investment banks are key to facilitating these activities and are, therefore, rapidly scaling up their operations. Hence, there is a huge demand for high quality talent in these companies, and any ambitious graduate can hope to secure a highly paid career in this field. Investment bankers receive some of the highest salaries in India, and many of them can become crorepatis within the first 10 years of work.”
According to the organisation’s press release the new course provides a great launchpad for fresh graduates to build a successful career in investment banking, which is notable for the numerous career opportunities and high earning potential. The release further says that professional diploma in investment banking has a highly focused curriculum that will help students learn crucial financial concepts, such as securities and investments, venture capital, corporate finance, valuations, equity and capital markets, and will be led by industry experts.
As part of the program, TSCFM will prepare students to appear for investment banking interviews with confidence and success. The course also includes a 3-month internship for the aspirants. TSCFM provides 100% placement assistance to ensure candidates can get a jumpstart on their careers by securing jobs as Analyst, Associate and Senior Analyst, and can go on to become Assistant Vice President, Vice President and Director eventually. Salaries for these job roles range from INR 2 lakh to INR 10 crore per annum.
ON completion of the course, candidates will be awarded five certifications – Professional Diploma in Investment Banking (accredited by National Skill Development Corporation), Certificate in Business English (from TSCFM), Securities Markets Foundation Certification, Research Analyst Certification and Investment Advisor (Level 1) Certification (the last three are certifications from the National Institute of Securities Markets).
